No, I’m serious!
You can read more about our journey to financial peace here, but I could NOT say enough good things about what Dave teaches. Mark and I had tried budgeting, we’d tried the envelope system, we tried a lot of things. But it never worked for long, because we didn’t have the big picture. We didn’t have the steps in order and we didn’t have the right end goal.
All that changed when 1) Mark started listening to Dave on the radio and 2) we both attended a live event. Next thing you know we were leading Financial Peace University at our church. We led probably 8 or 9 groups before we finally handed it off to another couple to continue. The classes are still going on at that church today – hundreds of lives changed.
So here’s what I want you to do:
1) Read “The Total Money Makeover” by Dave Ramsey. You can get it from the library but I promise you’re going to keep referring back to it, so just buy a copy. Heck, bundle it with my book on Amazon and you’ll qualify for free shipping 
2) Visit Dave’s website which has a great Tools section. You’ll find budgeting forms, the baby step process and more.
I’d also REALLY encourage you to find a Financial Peace University class near you and GO! Heck, you can even do it all online now. How cool is that? This is an investment in your life and your marriage (for you married people). Mark and I continually say that if we had gone to FPU at the beginning of our marriage those first 7 years would have been WAY different. But it’s never too late!
