I don’t mean the “meet the teacher” kind.
I mean the party that I’m having next Wednesday at approximately 8:20 when I arrive home to a QUIET house.
I’m going to yell “Woohoo!” and do a little happy dance. And probably eat dessert for lunch just because I can.
Don’t get me wrong. I loved summer – the more relaxed schedule, doing fun stuff with the kids. But let’s face it, my productivity tanks, BIG TIME. At least any tasks that require creativity and brain focus.
For example, I’m supposed to be revising my book and adding approximately 15,000 words in an attempt to get a traditional publisher to pick it up. My goal was to have it done by mid August.
Um, I’ve added 1,786 words to date.
I have a speaking engagement in 10 days and while I have a rough outline, it’s been hard to get down to the details.
I used to feel guilty that I was so happy when the kids went back to school.
But I’m over it.
As my husband would say “5 days and a sleep”…..
Who’s with me?
P.S. Apparently Dave Ramsey gave the book another shout out on the show the other day with a caller, so if you’re coming from TDR, here’s a couple quick links for you.
